After I let her know the laptop was provisioned with Windows 8 on it and I never would have received a product key because it's installed via the motherboard, That they don't keep the product keys because they are given to the consumers at the time of purchase. After calling Lenovo, the woman was very adamant about letting me know I got a call back from Microsoft today regarding the work computer (error code 0xc004e016) who proceeded to tell me to get the product key from Lenovo because they are the Manufacturer.
I would have scheduled a call with Microsoft Technical Support, but apparently you'reįully booked with no times available for the next five business days, which is a really cool business model. I'll post the error code for my home computer once I get back home (It hasn't activated for 8 days), as the work computer is currently resetting as a resolution attempt. I have two computers that were both upgrades from Windows 8.1 Professional to Windows 10 Professional, and after upgrading (activated) to the clean install, it isn't activating properly. I am also having this issue, both at home and work.
